We’re loving this video and can’t wait to see more. Thanks Garage Online.
On Friday, October 16, I attended Park Studio’s photography opening featuring Jason Lee Parry and Andrew Kuykendall’s sexy work. The attendees brought the photos to life, as a Adran Robb Alvarez captured some of Hollywood’s most artistic and beautiful creatives. View the complete photo collection here.
It is hard to believe that Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann was published in 1966, because Anne, Neely and Jennifer’s personas are still very much alive and relevant today. The pop-culture classic novel has been called, “One of the sexiest novels ever written,” by Earl Wilson and was made into a feature film in 1967 starring Patty Duke, Barbara Parkins and the late Sharon Tate.
Anne Welles moves from her small hometown of Lawrenceville to New York seeking the excitement of city life. She meets her closest friends, Neely and Jennifer, shortly after her move, and the book follows the three girls’ life through their 20’s and into their 30’s. Anne is pure class, with stunning girl-next-door features, Neely is a rising star who’s used show business as an outlet to escape her hard-knocked childhood, and Jennifer has the looks of a swim-suit model, but objectification and a money-hungry mother make her believe her only value is her appearance. All three women ride through the highs and lows of the elite world, each experiencing bouts of fame, fortune and failure. Through tragic events each girls’ fatal flaws begin to shape their lives. The “high” life of the city and Hollywood turn the girls on to “dolls,” pills for sleeping, staying awake or dieting. Their independently glamorous adventures soon turn hazed and uncontrollable as each one realizes having it all is just an illusion.
Happy Friday- just be you!!!
"Lights, lights, lights!" Tell me I’m not the only one that’s had Ellie Goulding’s hit, ‘Lights’, replaying in my head for the past several months!
Her second album ‘Halcyon’ debuted just yesterday and we are super excited to listen to it, while preparing ourselves for more of her songs to loop in our heads!
Here’s the video to her first single off her new album called ‘Anything could happen’.
It’s Friday and we are starting off the weekend with music videos we love!
The Big Pink- Velvet
The Black Keys- Little Black Submarines
Calvin Harris ft. Florence Welch- Sweet Nothing
Particle wants to wish Gwen Stefani a Happy Birthday! The gorgeous fashion icon and lead singer of the band, No Doubt, is turning 43 today. Can you believe it?! She still looks absolutely amazing and with their new album, Push and Shove, and tour coming out this year, there’s going to be more Gwen Stefani in our lives! Not complaining here!
This year’s Emmys was a night full of red carpet glamour and today’s biggest television stars. With all of those big stars and personalities in one place, we were excited to see what craziness and memorable moments were going to occur. Moments like Tracy Morgan passing out onstage to Amy Poehler and Julia Louis-Dreyfus “accidentally” switching their acceptance speeches, and Sofia Vergara’s wardrobe malfunction just minutes before going on! But don’t worry, these were only skits. Well, except for Sofia Vergara’s incident. That was real, but she took it like a trooper and we loved that she posted it on Twitter to laugh it off.
The night’s biggest winners were the new cable drama ‘Homeland’ and of course, the hit comedy ‘Modern Family’. There were also various wins from other popular shows like ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Two and a Half Men”. So many good shows and so little time to watch them!
We wanted to share our mania for some of the dresses at NYFW right now. We have been “goo goo ga ga” over it and wanted everyone to take part in our recent obsessions that have us practically drooling. Seriously….
Almost every look is surreal and they remind us of a modern day, working girl fairy. As always, the eveningwear was stunning, we look forward to seeing on the red carpet come awards season, and impeccable craftsmanship. The color story is complete perfection. We can’t get over it. Really can’t.
Carolina Herrera is a strong favorite at Particle because she consistently reinforces old school femininity and glamour and turns out beautiful collections filled with beautiful pieces, that we could never stop obsessing over. The collection left a little room for with the pops of neon orange and yellow in all the looks.
The use of color blocking was executed so well in this Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The looks had beautiful vivid hues such as turquoise, blue, yellow, bright peach, soft orange, pale blue and metallic. Two words to describe the collection are soft and flowing. We just love it!
